Lalanne/Padera

This boha belonged to Lalanne known as "PADÈRA" from Uzeste (33). It is listed on page 46 of Lothaire Mabru's book "La bagemuse des Landes de Gascogne", Belin-Beliet, Center Lapios du Bazadais ed. Friends of Bazadais 1986:

“… Several people have mentioned the memory of Lalanne known as“ Padèra ”or even“ lo vielle Padèra ”. Born around 1870, he was a farmer, resin producer and also made a living selling snails and gemstones - pine bark removed by the hapchot which is used to light the chimney fire. "

His Bohaussac

His bohaussac was found in 1995 on a beam at his place of residence in Padèra district of Uzeste by the current owners.

It is incomplete and includes:

- the sheathed skin bag,
- the boxwood pihet decorated with wax and inlaid with pewter,
- the stump of the indeterminate wooden pihet,
- the incomplete blowpipe (bohet),
- the stump of the indeterminate wooden blowpipe.

The reeds and the removable part of the brunidèir are missing.

This instrument, studied on July 30, 2012 by Patrick Burbaud, is part of a private collection.
