ORGANOLOGY: BLOWPIPE STUMP
DESCRIPTION
Piece of wood attached directly to the bag. It is intended to receive
the wind-holder, on the non-return valve side, by a female-type housing.
This housing must be deep and wide enough to allow the valve
to function without problem.
It is often in fruit wood and supports pewter decorations or engravings.
(cf. technical sheet - tin).
On old bohas, fixation is carried out by means of an internal ligature
(cf. technical sheet - ligatures).
